About Fintum MI
Built by people who lived the data gap.
Our Mission
To give financial institutions the forward-looking demand intelligence that already exists in the behavioral data their clients generate every day — but that no one is systematically capturing and delivering.
The Founders

Co-founder & CEO
David Siegl
David's career has traced the path that capital takes from institutional product to end investor. At BNP Paribas, he worked within the exchange-traded solutions group, focused on the structuring and distribution of derivative products. At Fidelity International, he joined the German institutional sales desk, supporting distribution to asset management clients across the region. At KKR, he worked on fundraising across private equity, credit, infrastructure, and real estate strategies, engaging directly with institutional allocators. He holds a Bachelor's in Finance from Frankfurt School.

Co-founder & COO
Valeria Morote
Valeria has operated at the core of European capital markets. At BBVA, she covered corporate and investment banking relationships across the DACH region, managing client engagement and coordinating financing solutions. At BNP Paribas, she first joined the exchange-traded solutions team, working on the structuring of derivative products for institutional distribution, before moving into M&A execution within the European advisory division, supporting live transactions from analysis through to deal close. Her experience sits at the intersection of institutional product, client coverage, and commercial execution. She holds a Master's in Finance from Frankfurt School.

Co-founder & CTO
Friedrich Rösel
Friedrich builds systems that turn messy data into reliable decisions. He founded Alpha Nex Digital Solutions, where he built machine-learning applications that embedded into client workflows to optimize day-to-day operations, along with the data pipelines and architecture behind them. At Lando Health, he served as Head of IT, leading technology for a medical device company developing clinical decision-support software used in real-time hospital settings. His academic work focused on quantitative finance, with a thesis analyzing the runtime performance and arbitrage conditions of American option pricing models. He holds a Bachelor's in Computational Business Analytics from Frankfurt School.
Our Story
The observation
that started everything.
The platform we built
In 2025, we launched El Fondo with a simple mission: provide investment education and infrastructure to retail investors in Latin America, a region historically underserved by quality financial tools.
Within weeks, thousands of users across Peru, Mexico, Colombia, and Chile were actively engaging with the platform. They were researching assets, comparing ETFs, building watchlists, and simulating portfolios. We were watching real investment intent unfold in real time.
The pattern we saw
What surprised us wasn't the volume. It was the variation. Investors in Peru behaved differently than those in Mexico. Risk appetites diverged sharply between Chile and Colombia. Each market had distinct preferences, timing patterns, and product interests, yet the asset management industry had always treated Latin America as a single, undifferentiated block.
That's when we realized the data we were capturing had value far beyond our own platform. The behavioral signals flowing through El Fondo represented something institutional distribution teams had never had access to: pre-allocation demand intelligence, segmented by country, by investor profile, by asset class.
What we built next
Fintum MI was built to unlock that value. Not as an analytics dashboard, but as an intelligence layer that transforms retail investing behavior into forward-looking demand signals that asset managers, banks, and brokers can act on.
